Character and fitness

A question for all those wise lawyer-types out there:

Any suggestions on how I can track down the records of a speeding ticket received somewhere in rural Washington state sometime in the summer of 2001?

I’m not sure if all states make these available to the public. But in Illinois if you go the department of motor vehicles you can purchase your driving abstract. It should contain all of the driving violations you have committed in the state.

Is it yours? If so, you should be able to go to the police department that issued the speeding ticket and request a copy of the ticket. Should be one on file both at the police dept and the county clerk/traffic court, yes?
