Here’s the thing. The people that don’t know to remove that stitching? Probably still have it in after years of owning a coat or skirt or whatever. So, ummmm, it might not necessarily be a sign of the clothes being new … but, instead it might be an indicator of dumbness! =)

haaaaaa. SO TRUE. even though i know about the basting stich, i still missed it on a new coat a few years ago. that was an awkward day. i kept being all “why is this coat so annoying when i sit down?” Am smrt.

I did not know this! Luckily, I’ve never owned any coats that would have this (I think).
