  1. ECT says:

Oh, please don’t talk about gray hairs.

Other than just the general ‘Holy CRAP! I’m 30!’ thing I’m dealing with (less than 2 months until I join you), gray hair is the No. 1 thing I’m not ready to deal with yet.

Ah well, there’s always hair color. Whatever you do, DON’T pull it out!

Zits and gray hairs–the mofos of my life.

    I feel your pain.

  3. TUWABVB says:

I realized only yesterday, while examining a particularly bad break-out in the mirror, that my grays are peeking out only three weeks after my most recent color. Sigh.

I always had terrific skin. Now I have red splotchy patches I’ve been told are a typle of acne … and wrinkles. 33 sucks

  5. NGS says:

I’ve had gray in my hair since I was 15, so I imagine my teen years are exactly what you’re going through now.

I am not yet 30 (a few months away) and my hair is mostly gray on top. I’ve made a conscious decision that I can’t afford to keep coloring it and I’m going to own it, but…it’s hard. I feel so much guilt over how bad I feel about my freaking hair. There are bigger problems in the world and this is what I fuss over.

    So, I feel ya, sister!!

  6. The cruel paradox of nearly-forty: confident enough to love yourself as you are, which is a good thing, because confidence is all you’ve got.

  7. Oh, butterflyfish1, if that is perioral dermatitis you’re talking about, there are drugs you can take (not forever, just a couple of months) that will clear that up like magic. You won’t feel so bad about your wrinkles then. Do consider the drugs – it will go away of it’s own accord but only after a couple of years.

  8. Its own accord. I meant ITS own accord. Bloody!

  9. Alice says:

when i was a teenager, i told myself i was going to start using wrinkle cream the MOMENT my skin cleared up, so i’d have a jump on keeping my skin pretty. hilariously, i’m still waiting for that day. while the wrinkle accumulate. HATE YOU, FACE.

  10. I’ll take grey hairs that can easily be colored over my 1 1/2 inch SPROUTS all along my hairline any day.

The breakouts? OMG those are the worst. Some days being a teenager was a cake walk vs what I go through now. And at least as a teenager you were surrounded by OTHER kids your age looking the same way. Now? We’re all business people interacting with other business people and they usually DON’T have faces of death. I’m sorry. Hopefully it will be gone soon.
